In 1998, Aerosport became the first kite school in the Iles de la Madeleine and created the first kiteboarding school in Canada.
Since then, Aerosport has become a reference in the country and has introduced thousands of clients to the sport. Since 2014, Aerosport has another business place in Oka Village, 40 minutes north-east of Montreal. It operates a Stand-Up Paddleboard School and a rental center in the hearth of the village. Within just a few years, Aerosport Oka has become the largest SUP and Kayaks shop in the province, with over 12 of the best brands of paddleboards, and with 6 brands of kayaks and pedal kayaks.

Eric Marchand, founder and owner of Aerosport, was Canadian champion snowboarding (halfpipe) for 2 consecutive years and has traveled the world to compete. He was also world champion in kite skiing in 2001. He was the Coupe du Québec Snowkite Champion in 2007 & 2008 and ranked 2nd at the KiteSki World Championship in 2008. He has provided training and kite demonstrations around the world, from the Baffin Islands, to Senegal, and through Europe.
