About us
Before becoming the largest specialized paddleboard and kayak store, Aerosport was the first kitesurfing school to open in the Magdalen Islands in 1998, and the first kitesurfing school created in Canada. Over the years, its owner and founder, Éric Marchand, has surrounded himself with a team of passionate people. Today, Aerosport has become the reference school in Quebec and Canada for wind and water sports. Its mission is to provide its clients with unique experiences, with the help of passionate and professional guides and instructors, in the fields of kitesurfing, snowkiting, buggying, sea kayaking, SUP (stand-up paddle) and surfing, allowing them to enjoy the beauty of our Quebec landscapes in a healthy way.
Since the opening of its Oka boutique in 2014, Aerosport has become THE specialized paddleboard and kayak boutique in Quebec. Kite and electric bikes are also available as well as all the accessories required for these sports.
Aerosport Oka is the result of the work of a small, tightly knit team. Eric, the owner, is assisted by his spouse Tania in the administration and management of the company. The manager, René, also teams up with his wife, Lucie, who is in charge of Aerosport's presence on the Web. Since 2016, the team has been enriched by Guillaume, whose rigour and knowledge are equalled only by his passion and pleasure in guiding clients. Myriam, at customer service, Louis-Philippe, plus Martine and Éric are also behind the scenes for the Web and administration.
To recharge their batteries, all of them count on each day break to paddle, fish, kite their lives, test the new foils, do new tricks on the skateboard ramps, swim in the lake, pedal, fly a kite, sail and look forward to trying the latest novelty on the water, on the road, in the wind, paddling, rolling, fishing or flying!

DISTINCTIONS
Eric Marchand, founder and owner of Aerosport, distinguished himself as a regional winner of the Grands Prix du Tourisme in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 in Iles de la Madeleine and received in 2004 the award for tourist personality of the year and the "Coup de coeur de l'année" awarded by Aventures Écotourisme Québec for his good environmental practices.
Eric was 2001 world champion in snowkiting and was Canadian champion for 2 consecutive years in snowboarding (half pipe). He is also the 2007 and 2008 Quebec champion of the Quebec Cup in snowkiting and placed 2nd at the 2008 World Kiteskiing Championships.
In 2008, Aerosport won the prestigious GOLD award at the national level at the Grands Prix du Tourisme québécois in the Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism category.
For the quality of its products and services, Aerosport was the second Quebec company to obtain the BNQ certification (equivalent to ISO 2001) in Outdoor Tourism and Adventures.
