SUP Spot: Presqu’ile Provincial Park, Ont. with Riviera Original boards
Do Aerosport Team members play golf on their days off? No!
Shani and Jordan went to Presqu’ile Provincial Park, on Ontario Lake, with their Riviera paddlesurf, all-around Original Series. Here’s what they had to say about it…
On the Road… to Ontario Lake
Shani Scalabrino & Jordan Filiatrault
Team members of Aerosport Oka
A 5-hour drive brought us from Oka, Qc, to Presqu’ile Provincial Park, located in the north-eastern part of Ontario Lake. We set up our tents at night, under thousands of stars.
Stand-up Paddling : not just another sport. A Lifestyle.
From sunrise to sunset, our SUP sessions took place on an amazingly quiet Ontario Lake. With our Riviera Boards, we were hoping on a bit of wind (and lots of waves!). Well you know what? The scenery was just so picture-perfect that we happily dealed with the quietness of the moment. Which gave us a chance to enjoy this other side of stand-up paddling; and we enjoyed every minute of it!
We paddled all day in the middle of a post card.
In perfect harmony with nature…
Paddle to the horizon. Out of space. Out of time.
And yet, deeply here & now.
And just keep paddling.
Like magic: pristine water, sand beach, the horizon, quietness all around, sunny & hot, perfect Riviera Boards to take us to the middle of the postcard, good friends… what else could we ask for!
Got back to Oka on the 3rd day. Deeply satisfied with this camping-SUP escapade in the heart of the lifestyle we cherish.

SUP Riviera Original 10’6″
Shani & Jordan had Riviera Original 10’6“ SUP boards. Dimensions: 10’6″ x 32″ x 4,5″. Volume: 171 L.
While it’s also a perfect board for first time paddlers because of its great stability, the Riviera Original 10’6″ is ideal for touring & surfs well. It has a slightly pulled in nose and pinched rails for better maneuverability in the surf.
Even though we like it for its shape, we also love the way these fiber/epoxy boards are built. Riviera’s Original are reinforced with a carbon deck patch and Kevlar fiber rails, giving it more strenght and solidity, without increasing its weight (a tiny 26 lbs!).
We also love the new Eco Molded Blanks that Riviera is now using to build the Original. This new molding process, Riviera’s newest leap in an environmental friendly direction, eliminates excess foam waste. Typically, 5 boards are cut from 1 large EPS foam block; 67% of the foam block becomes scrap. Riviera’s new Eco Molded Blanks are a single pressure mold which leaves zero foam waste. This new process is not only environmentally friendly, but creates a denser foam blank, making it even stronger and lighter than traditional foam blanks.
